The new school year is just around the corner and this year there will be many children that will go without school supplies...and we need your help so that these children will have the necessary supplies that will help them succeed this school year.
During the month of July PATH is collecting school supplies that will be distributed to local children. Click here for a list where you can donate school supplies to East Texas Children.
GAP Broadcasting stations Mix 93-1, 96X, 101.5 KNUE, HOT 107.3 Jamz and KDOK 1240 AM are on a mission to "FILL THE BUS WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES"!
Join us Saturday, July 25th at the Broadway Square Mall parking lot from 9a to 3p (in the northeast corner across from McAlister's Deli and Office Depot). Look for the school bus! We'll need your help in filling this bus with school supplies for the upcoming school year - any school supplies will be accepted - even cash donations and we'll go to Office Depot and buy the supplies!
Chick-Fil-A and the cows will be with us beginning at 9a on Saturday and for the first 150 donors, they will receive a coupon for a free shake from Chick-Fil-A.
Here's just a sample of some of the school supplies we're looking for: 24 pack crayons #2 pencils wide and college ruled spiral notebooks wide and college ruled notebook paper glue sticks blue or black pens five tab dividers colored pocket folders with brads wooden rulers 2" three ring binders colored pencils
Help us help our children succeed this year - Let's "FILL THAT BUS!"
In addition, there will be a special "Bikers Rule for School" school supply run! This will be the first ever PATH/GAP Broadcasting run for school supplies!
Bikers will meet at the Broadway Square Mall parking lot at 10a and make a run to Bullard, Whitehouse, Arp, Chapel Hill, Winona, Lindale and back to the Broadway Square Mall parking lot in Tyler (around 2:45p) - meanwhile collecting school supplies along the way!
Bikers will be required to bring a donation of school supplies and/or money to purchase school supplies and to participate. Bikers can join the ride anytime along the route and refreshements will be provided.
While the ride is going on, Mix 93-1, 96X, 101.5 KNUE, HOT 107.3 Jamz and KDOK 1240am will be collecting school supplies on the northwest side of Broadway Square Mall across from McAlister's Deli and the Office Depot from 9a to 3p.
